This is not your usual beach trip.
This is raw.
Remote.
Real.
The Kalayaan Municipal Tourism Office has officially opened limited slots for tour packages to the breathtaking Kalayaan Island Group in the West Philippine Sea — and they’re calling it a once-in-a-lifetime journey.
“Ready for a once-in-a-lifetime journey?” the tourism office asked in a Facebook post.
Because this isn’t just about crystal-clear waters and white sand.
It’s about experiencing life at the edge of the map.
A Journey Few Get to Take
The adventure begins with something extraordinary — complimentary roundtrip sea transportation from Buliluyan to Pag-asa Island when you book any of their 9 Days & 8 Nights tour packages.
Nine days.
Eight nights.
Far from city noise.
Far from crowds.
Far from ordinary.
Participants will enjoy guided tours, curated activities, meals, and accommodation — all designed to immerse guests in the simple, grounded rhythm of island life.
Choose Your Island Stay
The tourism office is offering three accommodation options:
-
Small Cabin (2 persons): ₱39,050 per person
-
Homestay (4 persons): ₱43,550 per person
-
Big Cabin (4 persons): ₱57,050 per person
Each package offers more than just a bed to sleep in.
It offers perspective.
But Not Everyone Gets In
Here’s where it gets interesting.
Because slots are limited, applicants must go through a screening process.
This isn’t just a booking.
It’s an application.
Interested participants must submit a two- to three-minute video answering one simple but powerful question:
“Why should we pick you?”
The invitation is open to:
-
Content creators eager to showcase the beauty of the West Philippine Sea
-
Diving enthusiasts chasing untouched waters
-
Filipinos who want to experience authentic, basic island living
“Tell us your story, show us your passion, and convince us you are ready for basic island living with a grand purpose,” the tourism office said.
This is not luxury travel.
This is purposeful travel.
How to Apply
If you feel called to the journey:
-
Comment “I’m Ready” on the Kalayaan Municipal Tourism Office’s Facebook post.
-
Send your video through their official Facebook page or email it to:
kalayaanmunicipaltourismoffice@gmail.com
That’s it.
A simple comment.
A short video.
A chance at something unforgettable.
Because some trips are just vacations.
And some are stories you tell for the rest of your life.
