Caprice Cayetano Breaks Down Reuniting With Dad on PBB

Caprice Cayetano received the most unforgettable Christmas gift inside the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” house — one that money could never buy.

On Tuesday’s episode, the teen Kapuso talent was called into the Task Room for what seemed like a simple challenge.
Behind a curtain were five hands.
Only one belonged to the person giving her a Christmas gift.

But even before the task began, Caprice’s heart already knew.

Her voice trembled as she spoke to Kuya.

She said she could hear her father.
She could feel him.
Even the familiar sound of his knuckles cracking felt unmistakable.

One by one, Caprice touched the first four hands — and gently ruled them out.
Then came the fifth.

The moment her fingers met that hand, everything changed.

“Si daddy na,” she whispered.

Tears fell instantly.

As she held on, Caprice said it felt like she was touching her entire family through her father’s hand.
Even just that moment — just that connection — was already more than enough.

When Kuya finally asked the person behind the curtain to step forward, the truth was revealed.

It was her father — chef Jorge Mendez.

The two broke down as they embraced, holding on to each other longer than they ever had before.

Caprice later shared that it was the longest hug they’d ever had — and the first time she had seen her father cry.

Through tears, Jorge told her that her mother watches her every night on PBB.
They were proud.
And they brought her a gift.

He explained that they bought it quietly, knowing Caprice never asks for expensive things — something she’s been known for since childhood.
A trait that, to him, showed her kindness and hard work.

Later, the gift was revealed: a silver bag.

Caprice’s eyes lit up.

She said it was the first time she received something in the exact color she dreamed of — a bag she had always wanted but never asked for.

Before leaving, Jorge left his daughter with words that stayed in the room long after he was gone.

He told her to do her best.
To learn.
To enjoy the experience.
And reminded her that win or lose, she would leave the house with something far more important — growth.

More hugs followed.
Tighter this time.
Harder to let go.

After the visit, Caprice admitted she felt more motivated and positive, knowing her family was watching and cheering for her.

In the Confession Room, Jorge spoke proudly of his daughter.

He described Caprice as kind, disciplined, and never demanding — even though they became parents at a young age.
He said raising her didn’t hold them back.
Instead, she gave their lives direction.

“She’s my first daughter,” he said.
“My baby.”

Asked how they raised Caprice to be kind, Jorge said it came from constant guidance — reminding her not to rush life and not to struggle the way they once did.

“Mabait ‘yan,” he said softly.
“Sobrang bait.”

In a house filled with cameras, challenges, and competition, one quiet moment stood out —
a father’s hand,
a daughter’s tears,
and a Christmas gift wrapped in love.
