121 dead, 3M affected families, P4.7B damage to agriculture, infrastructure due to Paeng – NDRRMC

THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Wednesday said that the number of reported deaths due to Severe Tropical Storm Paeng is now at 121 while damage to agriculture and infrastructure is estimated at P4.7 billion.

Of the fatalities, 92 are confirmed and 29 are up for validation.

The injured are at 103 and 36 are missing.

Meanwhile, the affected individuals ballooned to 3,180,132 or 927,822 families.

A total of 11,294 houses were damaged, 9,190 partially and 2,104 totally.

Damage to agriculture is estimated at P1,278,940,052.58. While for infrastructure, it is at P3,425,666,061.73.

An estimated P71,590,264.19 in assistance had been provided.
